Accountant Fees Ireland — My Actual Prices

Most Irish accountancy practices won't tell you what they charge until you've had a meeting. I'd rather you knew before you picked up the phone. Every price below is real, and each package says what it includes and where its limits are. If your situation doesn't fit any of them, ask and I'll quote you a fixed fee before any work starts. Everything is delivered fully online, for clients anywhere in Ireland — see how it works.

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Fixed, published fees
  • No hourly billing
  • Fully online, anywhere in Ireland

Monthly packages

Pick the one that matches how your business is set up.

Every package includes your accounts, your Form 11 and your Revenue correspondence. Sole traders pay less than companies because there's genuinely less to do — no financial statements to file, no corporation tax return, no CRO annual return.

Sole Trader Essentials

€195 + VAT / month

For a sole trader who keeps their own records and wants the tax side handled properly.

Your accounts and your income tax return prepared and filed on time — and someone to ring when Revenue writes to you.

  • Annual accounts
  • Form 11 income tax return
  • VAT returns, if you are registered
  • Revenue correspondence handled
  • An annual tax planning meeting
  • Turnover up to €100,000

Suits a business with around 25 purchases and sales a month — roughly one a day. You keep your own books, in Xero, Sage or a spreadsheet we agree on.

Typically: a consultant or tradesperson doing their own books, who wants the tax right.

Sole Trader Plus

€345 + VAT / month

For a sole trader with staff, or one who would rather talk to their accountant more than once a year.

Everything above, plus your payroll run and a quarterly sit-down to look at where the year is actually going.

  • Everything in Sole Trader Essentials
  • Payroll for up to 5 people
  • Xero licence included
  • A quarterly review meeting
  • Turnover up to €250,000

Around 25 purchases and sales a month. You keep your own books in Xero — I set it up and show you how.

Typically: a shop, salon or trade business with two or three people on the payroll.

Sole Trader Complete

€895 + VAT / month

For an established sole trader who would rather not touch the books at all.

I keep the books, run the payroll, and give you management accounts and a cash-flow forecast every month — so you know where you stand monthly, not once a year.

  • Everything in Sole Trader Plus
  • Bookkeeping done for you
  • Payroll for up to 10 people
  • Monthly management accounts and cash-flow forecast
  • Quarterly meetings
  • Turnover up to €500,000

Bookkeeping included for around 40 purchases and sales a month. More than that and I move you to the right band — see the bookkeeping bands further down this page.

Typically: an established business with staff and stock, where the owner's evenings are worth more.

About the limits

Not sure which one you are? Send me a month's bank statement and I'll tell you, before you commit to anything. Go over in a month and I absorb it; if it happens twice in any three months I'll move you up a band and tell you fourteen days beforehand, not after. And if your volume drops, I move you back down.

All package prices exclude VAT at 23%.

Bookkeeping, done for you

Bookkeeping can be added to any package, at any volume. It's priced on its own so you're never pushed into a bigger package just to get the books done — and so you can see exactly what changes if the business grows.

What's included, and what happens if you go over

Every fixed price has a boundary. Mine are published so you can see them before you buy, and so neither of us has an awkward conversation later.

Common questions about fees

Why do you publish your prices when most accountants don't?

Because you should be able to work out roughly what this costs before you ring anyone. Every price here is real. If your situation doesn't fit one of the packages, ask and I'll quote you a fixed fee before any work starts.

What if I go over the transaction limit?

Go over in one month and I absorb it — no charge and no conversation. If it happens twice in any three months I'll move you to the next band from the following month, and I'll tell you fourteen days beforehand. If your volume drops back, I move you down again. I review it every quarter.

Why is the sole trader package cheaper than the company one?

Because there's genuinely less work in it. A sole trader has no financial statements to file, no corporation tax return and no CRO annual return — that's eight to ten hours a year that simply doesn't exist. It's less work, not a discount.

I'm switching from another accountant. What does that involve?

There's a one-off onboarding fee of €395 covering professional clearance, getting your records, opening balances and the Revenue and CRO agent links. If there's catch-up work or unfiled returns, I'll look at the records and quote that separately before starting.

What happens if my records are a mess?

I'll tell you before I start, not after. Bookkeeping clean-up starts at €595 and is quoted once I've seen a month of records. Nobody gets an invoice they weren't expecting.

Is there a contract?

Monthly packages run on a twelve-month term, billed by monthly direct debit. That is how every package is billed — it keeps your cost predictable and spreads the work evenly across the year instead of everything landing at once. Everything starts with a written proposal and an engagement letter, so nothing begins before you have agreed it.

Are these prices inclusive of VAT?

No. Every price on this page excludes VAT. CRO fees and other statutory or third-party charges are additional unless I've said otherwise.

Not sure which one fits?

Book a free twenty-minute call. Tell me where you are and what you need, and I'll come back within one working day with the package that fits and a fixed quotation.

All prices exclude VAT and apply from 1 October 2026. Final fees are confirmed following a scope and records assessment and may vary with transaction volume and the condition of existing records. Services commence only after acceptance of a written proposal and engagement letter. CRO fees and other statutory or third-party charges are additional unless expressly stated as included. Prices are reviewed each January and following each Budget.
